Barely got one days use out of it, bulb wiring was messed up, tried to fix it but not worth it.
Bummer cause it's cute expected it to last longer considering it wasn't $10!

I bought two of these for our nightstands in the bedroom. I love them for the great light and decoration.
They make a great look for an asian theme bedroom and have just enough light for the mood. I would recommend these to everyone.

Maybe because I was warned about the durability of this lamp I was more careful with it, but it's actually stronger than I expected, based on some of the reviews I read here. Our guest bedroom is Asian themed and with a low watt CFL bulb in it works great and gives off plenty of light.

Really a nice a lamp to have on a desk, or nightstand. It does not give off to much light, but a good amount. Something you can read in, or if you just want a little light on when you go to sleep for whatever reason.

In terms of looks the lamp does not disappoint. The paper shades with the bamboo imprint filter and mute the light an create a nice ambiance without being too dark - ideal for a bedroom nightstand. The construction, while not shoddy, is also not solid enough to risk placing the lamp in high traffic areas - I doubt the frame would survive a fall off of a hallway accent table, for example. I improved the stability significantly by simply gluing the top portion, which is left loose intentionally to make changing the bulb easier, into place permanently. You can still swap out the bulb via the bottom if you do this.
A nifty and unique item that will lend a bit of authentic looking Asian style to your home.
