The description does not say that the canvas is primed, but fortunately it is. Sadly, mine arrived scuffed and dirty on the inside folds (from the distributor because it was wrapped up dirty), so it will have to be painted immediately.
The description says these are hinged so that they bend either way. This is completely untrue. They have entirely normal hinges and bend in only one direction each. The screen itself is reversable in that both sides are finished (so are the tops and bottoms). It's essentially a three-canvas canvas. The framing inside is well done.
Fortunately the item is packed in thin layers of bubblewrap and sheet styrofoam so when the shipper damages the package the item might survive. Mine did, although there were more than 5 tears in the box. The box did not say fragile or this end up, etc, so it had clearly been used to stack heavier stuff on top of it.

Got this divider to keep my cat out of the front part of my house! Our hallway has no door to the living room and front of the house area so we needed something to keep the cat out as he can't be trusted in there by himself hehe.
The divider looks great white because it blends in with our walls but we MAY paint it as my husband enjoys doing that from time to time. The doors fold either way and it is very light for me to pickup (girl) but heavy enough so it doesn't fall over when the cat paws at (note it is slightly supported by the hallway walls on either side since it is wider than the hallway and we fold the sides in a bit-which is good!). The best part is the canvas doesn't tear either! So kitties claws haven't done any damage. I think it will look lovely painted but for now we are leaving it white and it is serving its purpose. Seller shipped it really fast too! Next day and I placed the order late the day before. It arrived in 5 business days to Northern CA from Boston and when I requested a tracking number they replied asap :-D Happy all around!

The item arrived in a timely manner and in good shape. There was no damage and the room divider looks great in my space.
