My fiance and I have bought a sleu of different Chinese Lanterns in all sizes. I thought I would buy these little guys just in case we needed extra's and since they're small I thought it would add an all about nice addition. I agree with past reviews about there being no instructions to put them together. Having said that, it took me maybe 7 seconds to put one together with no issues. Pick up one lantern and extend it out, the top of the lanter is the end with the two metal loops on opposite sides, the top of the metal support piece has the bend in the center (for the light to clip onto) and the outside of the top has "shoulders". Insert the bottom of the wire piece into the top of the lantern and push it down to the bottom. Insert the two shoulders into the two loops of the lantern and VOILA! You're done. Now all you have to do is set the rest up and clip the lights on them. Too easy.

The instructions are nonexistent but with a bit of patience, common sense and engineering thought they are not that bad to assemble. See customer image `lantern wire alignment'. Insert the wire expansion frame and make sure the bottom of the lamp opening lines up with the indents in the wire. On the top of the lamp you will see that one side of the wire loops is a bit higher. Rotating in from that higher side GENTLY turn the expansion frame and pull up the loops. This may take a couple of tries but worked for me. I had to remove one of the expansion frames and expand the slot that the light slides into with a screwdriver and reinstall since it was too tight (small). My set came with a spare paper lantern which I did not need yet along with two spare bulbs. It's not bad for $11.

I ordered 3 sets of string lights. One worked fine, though the metal frames that go inside the lanters to keep them open all the way are too large, and so the risk of tearing the lanters while installing them is really high.
2 of the 3 orders did not work at all upon plugging them in. One worked after changing one of the fuses, but the other did not, even after putting in two completely new fuses. So now, I am left one set that does not work at all, and no fuses to replace the other two string light sets in case they go out.
I will never buy from this merchant again.

I got these lights to hang over my vanity mirror and they came fully disassembled with vague instructions. It took me too long to figure out how to assemble them and the metal pieces didn't even fit in the lanterns making them tear a bit. Not worth the buy.
